How to draw... TACOS! #tacotuesday

All About Tacos
By: Harley

"Taco" in Spanish means "a light snack." A taco is a traditional Mexican dish composed of a corn or wheat tortilla folded or rolled around a filling. A taco can be made with a variety of fillings including beef, pork, chicken, seafood, vegetables, and cheese. A taco is generally eaten without utensils and is often accompanied by garnishes such as salsa, avocado, guacamole, cilantro, tomatoes, minced meat, onions, and lettuce.

How to draw... TACOS!

1- Draw a shape that looks like a rock with a line sticking out from the top and center, down to the bottom left corner.  This will be the outline for your shell.

2- Now sketch out the actual shape of the shell which is rounded at the edges, and you will then add a sketch of burger meat at the bottom left corner.

3- Sketch the meat in more detail and add the defining lines to add texture.  Next, draw some stick like shapes for the shredded cheese and then the jagged outline for the outer shell.

4- Flour tortilla shells have notches in them from the crushed corn and flour.  That is the type of pattern you will draw here to add texture to your taco.

5-Finish sketching out some more cheese and then add the shreds of lettuce.  The blob of sour cream goes on top, and then after you erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step on1, you taco is all done and ready to eat!  I mean... paste on your wall...
