How to draw... TURTLES! #turtlethursday

How to draw Turtles by Anika

Today you are going to learn how to draw a really really cut cartoon turtle in 5 easy steps!

1) First, you want to start off with a smaller circle for the head of the turtle. If you have trouble drawing a symmetrical circle I recommend first starting off with a circular motion above your paper with your wrist, then lightly apply pressure to the pencil on the paper.

2) Next draw a more oval-like shape kind of overlapping the the head. The head should be a little bigger than the body giving the structure a "cuteness" factor.

3) Then, draw the four flippers in which all of them should be shown in your drawing.

4) Now, draw a curved line connecting the last flipper to the halfway point of the head so it looks like you can see the bottom and half of the shell. Then draw lines across the bottom so it looks flat. Now, you can draw any design on the on the on the top half of the shell.

5) Now add a curved triangle shape over the last flipper and draw a face. Usually, making the forehead large makes it look more cute. Now erase all unnecasary lines.
