How to draw... DONUTS! by Isobel
1. Draw a fair sized circle ( at least 3-5 inches across). This will be the base for the donut.
2. Inside the circle, draw a little circle in the middle. This will be the donut hole of the donut. Be sure to shade in one side of the hole in a crescent moon style. This shows that the donut is three-dimensional.
3. Next you will be drawing the frosting. The frosting should be a circle whose edge is like a wave: it goes up and down. There should be less than 9/10 of the base of the donut showing.
4. Now we will be drawing the eyes of this cartoon donut. The rim of the eyes should be the same size of the donut hole. Inside the rim draw another, littler circle. Draw a small oval, either in the right or left "corner" of the smaller circle and shade around this. This should leave the eyes looking like they are crescents.
5. Finally, draw a quarter circle below, either to the left of right, of the donut hole. This will be the mouth. If you want, you can now add sprinkles!
